Sydney Gas Ltd (SGL) is establishing itself as a leading Australian energy company, focused on the production of coal seam gas (CSG); a form of natural gas, from the vast coal deposits contained within the Sydney Basin.

SGL is the first commercial producer of natural gas in New South Wales, and has been selling gas to AGL Wholesale Gas Ltd from the southern Sydney Basin, since May 2001.
